The Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media together with the Department of Government Information will review the progress and the shortcomings of the implementation of the RTI Act after three months, said the Director General of Department of Government Information Dr. Ranga Kalansooriya.
Dr. Kalansooriya made these comments at the weekly cabinet briefing held today (5th April) at the Parliamentary Complex.
He requested everyone to inform of the problems and issues and assured that they will carefully consider everything and make the necessary changes.
According to the Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Gayantha Karunathilaka there is a possibility for issues and problems since it is a new concept to Sri Lanka.
