Acting DG of DGI assumes duties

NEW DGThe newly appointed acting Director General of the Department of Government Information (DGI) Attorney-at- Law Sudharshana Gunawardhana assumed duties today (13th Oct.) at the department.
 
He is also the Chairman of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).
 
Additional Secretary (Development and Planning) to the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media Ms Thilaka Jayasundara, former Director General of DGI Dr. Ranga Kalansooriya, Director General of SLBC Erananda Hettiarachchi, and the staff members of DGI participated on this occasion.

The department assists media in a macro level in welfare, training, policy planning and accreditation, and providing easy access to Government news and information.
